February eGroup Forum - Tuesday, 7th February 2017 - The Velpic Story with Russell Francis

Join us for our first eGroup forum of 2017 on Tuesday 7th February!

Telling us the story of Velpic will be their CEO Russell Francis. 

Russell will share how Velpic disrupted the global Learning Management Systems market, with useful tips for disrupting your sector.

Russell Francis is an entrepreneur and technical architect with more than 20 years international experience running successful businesses. 

In 1995 Russell left Australia to start his own IT consulting business in London called EXIX. This company grew rapidly with clients including Citibank, ABM AMRO and P&O. After 3 years EXIX was acquired by Infogain, a Silicon Valley based IT consulting firm. Russell remained at Infogain as their European CTO and led the business into the Internet revolution where he was responsible for architecting corporate Internet strategies for multinational companies like Lloyds TSB in finance, Dixons Stores Group in retail and At The Races in online gaming.

Russell returned to Australia in 2003 and worked as a freelance CTO for companies in Hong Kong, Malaysia and the UK before founding Reignite in 2005. Reignite was based in Australia and was renowned for building online applications and mobile apps for many of WA’s most entrepreneurial start ups including True North, Fusion Books and Vault521 as well as established corporate clients like Bankwest, Western Power and JB Were.

In July 2013 Russell merged Reignite with two other long established, successful Perth based businesses, Dash Digital and Chameleon Creative to form a single Brand Technology Agency called Dash Digital.

Along with the other directors of Dash Digital, Russell founded and became the CEO of Velpic, in October 2012.

Russell has a BSc from UWA with majors in Information Technology, Computer Science and Human Biology.

Velpic is a visually inspired, cloud-based, eLearning, training and induction Learning Management System that allows you to create and edit your own impactful video lessons for all of your staff quickly, easily and professionally.
